Awesome party, been there 4 or 5 times over the years. No wonder it's been going on for 15 years. The crowd is friendly and mature, djs and selectors are great and drinks aren't expensive. Cover is a little steep but worth it.

Good day, I'm not sure what ladies night is consist of. But on 10/1/16 i really didn't have a good vibe like how I'm use to having at this event. I am a lady and i was hoping to hear and feel some good tunes did DJ Jase actually played? What suppose had happened no real tunes for ladies night. Im not the only one thinking this a few other people told me the same thing. In the future can you please satisfy us like you guys know how too. Regards,

On my last week of vacation in Brooklyn, I was taken to Reggae Retro for the Jah Cure tribute, all I can say is that I REALLY enjoyed myself, the DJ's were superb, the tunes were sweet, the bar was nice, the ambience was level vibes, lots of beautiful people just out to enjoy reggae! Big ups to the management and staff, I will be there definitely next time im in Brooklyn, and if I lived there that would be my staple 1st Saturdays spot!

I use to go there a lot 2 summers ago then I stopped for awhile. I started going back summer of 2013 and boy what a let down, crowd isn't what it use to be which was a good mix of folks. The dj's are not as good, however I went there this past Saturday and they had my favorite asian dj he killed it like he always does. After that the next dj didn't do the same, it was hit and miss with the 2nd dj. Wish they would bring in the asian guy more often, roots and culture is what i go for and I rarey hear that anymore.

I think this place is clickish everyone knows each other .Not to sure if its good for singles everyone seems attached. Can meet people but there significant Other is not far away or on a bathroom break.Looking for a new spot for first of the month. Also I'm not cheap. But the admission. Price should not pass $10 it is kinda boring overall. I must say some honest folks in there lost my i.d and someone returned it.

Went there once a couple of years ago and never went back at least until this past summer with the new beau, we loved it been going there every 1st Saturday there after. Haven't had a bad night yet (knock on wood). Perfect spot for couples who love to dance and have a good time. A few drinks, great tunes and a lot of dancing after the party over the rest of the night when you leave is pure niceness ;)

Can white people go here? Or rather can a white dude who loves reggae show up here by himself who doesn't drink, start no trouble, and watch the music, while maybe smoking a bit? I been to some reggae spots where I wasn't welcome because I was white.

First off, there's nothing Retro about this. I didn't like the first time I went, so I went a second time, but same crap. I went to HS during the middele 80's, so I know old school reggae tunes. The dj sucks big time. I'm not sure if any1 remembers Sticky Mike in the late 80's early 90's. Now that was a real reggae scene. I thought this Retro Reggae was going to be the same vibe. I'm so disappointed.

I would rate it betterif girls could a least getin free by 11 am. To manyregulars. Must say the music can range from o.k tooutstanding. It is better than most reggae spots . But not to many other spotsto compare too. Some times certain people cannot danceand mess up your whole vibeeven the song, so just moveto another spot. Most ofthe Guys are cheap . Not to many real dudes in thehouse. Shout out to the guys who still buy girls they dance with drinks.

good place to go good amount of guys for girls and girls for guys cool place music is crazy. you can find someone to dance with or dance by your self it does not matter. dress in your own personal style but do not over dress its still a laid back vibe. Many regulars that tend to go to there own group of friend but the place is so packed no one will care. make sure to tip the bartenders.
